The Contour CPAP pillow is available in 3 different height levels. Most patients will be comfortable with the standard height of 4”. The improved design of the pillow boasts of a dual fabric design with silky and quilted material following the contour; this allows for easy gliding of your face over the pillow during sleep as you turn over. There are 6 main areas of support in a Contour CPAP pillow:
o Support for the neck when the patient sleeps on his back or sides
o A curve for the shoulder to rest naturally in a proper position. It also offers support to the neck
o Both ends of the pillow are pressure free zones for the mask
o There is a central head support area
o You will find ear comfort depressions on both lower ends of the head support area
o The upper part of the Contour CPAP pillow is inclined for forehead support.
This keeps the chin from rotating downward and obstructing the airflow.
With the use of the Contour CPAP pillow, the CPAP system with the full face mask and the tubing and straps becomes easy to use; sleeping with the device on becomes much more comfortable and well supported and hence you are more likely to use the equipment as you should. The entire spine gets optimum support with the advanced ergonomic design. And lastly, the Contour CPAP pillow does not allow the face mask to be accidentally removed or the chin to tilt forward. This helps in the airway alignment.

o Undue pressure on the face and the mask while turning on sides
o Physical discomfort caused by wearing the mask
The pillow covers of the Contour CPAP mask can be removed easily for washing and you can get additional covers with the accessory kit or individually. A Contour CPAP accessory kit usually includes an extra pillow cover and an extra 1 inch thick foam booster that is detachable and can be used to increase the height of your pillow. The kit also has a tether attachment for the top of the pillow to keep the hose in place and a quilted cover for the hose that has a zipper to help insulate humidified air.
